According to a certain Christian theology, much of deity pagan are demons. Thus, when we speak about the names of the demons, we must consider that they were incorporated in the Christian demonology, the Jewish demons, the deity pagan, the folk supernatural beings, and the sometimes imaginary names given by people questioned under torture during the tests of witch, by the mentally sick people (energumens) which were considered had demon, imaginative priests, etc In this way we have Jewish names like Asmodai (book of Tobit), Azazel (Leviticus 16:8 - 10), Belial (Deuteronomy 13:13, book of judges 19:22, books of Samuel, part 1, of 1:16, of 2:12 10:27 and 25:17, and part 2 16:7 and 22:5, books of the kings part 1, 21:10 - 13, books of the chronicles, part 1, 13:7); The deity Semitic like Adramelech, Baal (see Baal (demon) (Baal can also be employed like synonym for Satan itself)), Ashtaroth (derivative of Astarte); Names Greek, Roman and Egyptian like Bifrons (see Bifrons (the demon)), Lamia, Phoenix (see Phenex); and so on. All the biblical references were taken Vulgate. Lilith, an important female demon in the Judaism, does not count in Christian demonology. However, the newer generation of the demonologists (and some exorcists/modern advisers of stamping) identify Lilith as a demon general, the argument being which if other demons judaïques exist in Christian demonology, thus if Lilith as well, presenting it as a wife of Samael, and a princess and a queen of hell. Moreover, “very other that God and his angels, if spirit, is pallet mentioned above of demon” of the reasoning - we let us find the reasoning logical valid for there is “demon of Lilith” - so simply to create confusion and to add the validity to the following of Lilith like deity. Certain black books like the large book of Cyprian Saint, of the Red Dragon, Pseudomonarchia Daemonum and little key of Solomon (see Ars Goetia) between others to provide us of more than these names. Sebastian Michaelis in his classification of the demons (see the classification of Michaelis of the demons) gives more names. Abaddon, an angel of destruction extracted starting from the bible (delivers 9:11 revelation) was also built-in as a different demon. Lucifer, Beelzebub and Satan, were in the beginning a devil which were metamorphosed in three different characters by demonology and the devil remained as such. Beelzebub was an entity separated in the Judaism, later seeming fallen angel, and Satan is the chief of the fallen angels: while Lucifer was in the beginning an anonymous angel, that which spoke Satan in joining it in the rebellion. The imps, Drudes, the familiar ones and other folk creatures became part of Christian demonology. Thus there is little agreement on which is which, for many names which were in the beginning only one was separate in several entities, and others “were created” by people, like Sonnilon, Olivier (demon), Raum, etc Moreover, much of demons have several épellations of their names, not all with a valid base. Some of these demons are mentioned in the bible, but do not have any name of civil servant of it, such as the demon to make rage, or of the demons which were moulded outside by Christians for the period of the new will, or by Jesus Christ. Moreover, much of advisers of stamping and exorcists in modern times, such that Dr. ED Murphy in his book “the handbook for the spiritual war”, quote examples of the demons called after the afflictions which they cause, or of the effect they produce. In his book, Dr. Murphy again tells his meeting with the manifest multiple demons in a lady called Betty, being called by the use of his vocal cords, with names such as “given” (its goal was to ensure the place of Betty in the hell (although it was demolishes)); “Unbelief” (purposed to inspire exactly for what it called) and “destroyer” (supposed to destroy the spirit of the victim). However it is, it seems that all the companies have the need for giving names to these true or imaginary entities which represent “supernatural” phenomena, and the demons are not escaped.
