Love Spells are commonly considered to be symbolic representations of desired effects and in Wicca in particular are often performed to include some invocation of a deity.
Love spells can also even be unwilling instantaneous and subconcious actions, but with spells in general, and love spells in particular, it is desirable to have some design that follows a general structure:
1. Preparation of the love spell. This involves the gathering and assemblage of all necessary ingredients in the appropriate location and with the involved individuals prepared to perform preliminary activities like fasting, praying, etc.
2. Overture of the love spell. This is the step wherein one starts the ritual, spell, incantation, or invocation for the love spell, creates an appropriate, solemn "magical environment," and reinforces the communion effect among the participants.
3. Step three is the Invocation, most commonly used in Wiccan Magic, never used in Witchcraft, when the cooperation of supernatural forces in the ideological shape of a deity is requested to empower the love spell to fruition.
4. The Execution, or fourth step, is where the ritualized magical acts belonging to the love spell are precisely coordinated and performed.
5. And finally, the Closure. Closing the spell and solemnizing the conclusion of the act. Dissolving the "magical environment" that was created during the overture.
