Structure of organization: Wicca is a religion (largest) in Neopaganism. Other groups of Neopagan include the individuals and the groups who rebuild Druidic, Egyptien, Greek, Roman religions, sumériennes, of mystery and other ancient spiritual traditions. Many, perhaps more, witches are the solitary experts; they carry out their only rites. Others form the covens which are the groups without ceremony of Wiccans. There is usually no hierarchy beyond coven; no organization of state, provincial or national. These covens which makes elect high a priestess and/or priest democratically one of the group at this office.
Visibility: Practically each one intended to speak about Christianity, Islam and the Judaism. But of the three religions which are close being attached for the fourth place to the United States, almost each one intended to speak about Buddhism and the hindouism. Ritual: Test of Wiccans to be met out of the doors if possible. Climate and the concern North-Americans for the guaranty the force usually inside. They collect in circle, which is often nine feet in diameter. Candles on the circumference are usually directed with the four cardinal directions. It could include curative, the divination (scrying, charts of Tarot, runes, etc), teacher, dedication of the tools, discussion, or the other life-assertion, natural based activities. After the principal work is completed, food (perhaps cakes and wine) is eaten, and it circle is banie. Wiccan Sabbaths: (Seasonal Days of celebration) there is of eight Wiccan Sabbats, spaced approximately 45 days with share during the year. Four of the latter are Sabbats minor: two equinoxes of March 21 and September 21 when the day and the night are each 12 hours length. The Saxon ones added the two solstices of December 21, (the longest night of the year) and of June 21 (the shortest night of the year). In fact, the exact date as of the these Sabbaths change year by year and can occur 20th in 23rd month. The Sabbaths the main thing are also four in a number. They occur harshly halfway between the Sabbaths minor, typically after a month. The various traditions of Wiccan assign various names and dates with these festivals. Perhaps the most common names are Celtic: Samhain (on Oct 31), Imbolc (on Feb 2), Beltane (on Apr 30), and Lammas (on Aug 1). The dates are approximate. Certain Wiccans observe the Sabbath in a few days of the nominal date. The Sabbaths are supposed to have come from the cycles related on hunting, the leasing, and the animal fertility.
Rites of passage: Those include: Attachment, when a person confirms an interest for the trade.
Release, when a person symbolically dies and is Rene like Wiccan; a new name is adopted.
Handfasting was in the beginning a marriage for one one year period. The majority of Wiccans now regard it as creating a permanent association.
Separation in the manners, which identifies the end of a marriage.
Wiccaning, which accomodates a baby in the trade, but does not oblige the child in some way.
Funeral ceremony, a requiem for Wiccan which died.
Much Wiccans writes their clean ritual for special occasions in their life. Three examples are given in the Web site of Mary Amanda noted below.
Tools of Wiccan: The material which is employed to carry out rites of sorcery often resemble the common articles of household. Although there is much variation among individual Wiccans and their covens, which follows is typical: Knife of Athame (at double, ritual side; often black handled) used for many goals, but never for cutting. It is created by its owner, or is an improved bought knife. A sword is sometimes substituted for the athame.
A furnace bridge, which can be of any form. It can contain: A salt basin representing the ground of element.
Incense representing the air of element.
Two candles representing the goddess and God.
A basin of water representing the water of element.
A bell which is level to trace sections of the rite.
A pentagram (of the 5 directed hold the first role engraved on a disc).
A chalice or a goblet and perhaps a basin of drinking to hold a drink. They can also hold the water, which is employed in much ritual.
A cauldron, for grasses and the gasolines of mixture.
A magic wand or a sword to mould the circle.
A circle, in general 9 feet diameter, made of a cord or a line of small rocks, an inscription on the ground or the floor, etc
