Casting the Circle
Cleanse the area by burning a little sage. Take you Atheme (or index finger) and starting
at South, visualize a pure white light streaming toward the ground. Walk slowly Deosil
(meaning Sunwise, which in Australia is anti-clockwise), visualizing the light forming a
wall around yourself and your altar, saying as you go
"Here is the boundry of the Sacred Circle, Let nothing but Love Enter, and nothing but
Love emerge"
Next walk the boundary sprinkling salt (Earth), repeat the words above, followed by the
Incense (Air), The South Candle (Fire) and last by sprinkling water (Water). End by
patting the ground 3 times and saying
"As Above, So Below."
Your Circle is now cast and you may now call the Quarters and Deities if you so
desire.
(Check out the elements page for a few ideas.)

Closing The Circle
First start by thanking the Elements and any Dieties you invited.
Then Starting at the South, take your Atheme (or Index finger), and move slowly
Widdershins (meaning against the Sun or clockwise in Australia), visualising the pure
white light being drawn back in, saying as you go
"The Circle is open, but Unbroken"
Finish where you started, ground the energy and save it in your Atheme, to be dispersed
outside later.
