The aspect of the Maiden. The start of the new moon, and for approximately three days after, is perfect for starting anything new. If there's ever been any project you've had difficulty getting off the ground or an issue that's been floundering, seeming to go nowhere, cast a spell for it now. It will soar beyond your expectations.
The power of the Waxing moon takes place seven to fourteen days after the new moon. Use this time to cast spells which need the power to increase over time, building to a crescendo slowly. it's a perfect time for spells related to improving relationships with friends and lovers, and things to do with increasing your work performance.
The aspect of the Mother. This is the time for our Esbats, a night to worship the lunar Goddess. Many practice the powerful ritual "Drawing Down The Moon" at this time. For those of you just starting out, just go outside and bathe in her beauty. As the Full moon is a time of great power spells should be cast with caution. It's a great time to harness the lunar energy and send out positive vibrations to heal the earth.
Between the Full moon to the Dark of the moon is the Waning moon, this is when the moon's power is being drawn within. Now is the time to rid yourself of anything unwanted in your life. A good time for banishing spells or for issues which require completion.
The aspect of the Crone. The moon is now withholding all it's power waiting for the ultimate time to use it to it's greatest benefit. Use this as a time of reflection, look within yourself to find your true power. You, just like the moon, should withhold your power until it can be most benefit, and until you cab come to terms with any negativity or anger within you.
When in doubt, cast spells for growth during a new moon;
Banishment is best performed during a waning moon;
The most powerful time is the full moon;
And the only thing that should be performed under the dark of the moon is reflection.
